PTHS Field Hockey Recap

The field hockey team opened up their season with a 2-0 victory against Parsippany. The girls worked hard throughout the season and went on to become undefeated conference champions. The big win took place on the girls senior night defeating Parsippany Hills 3-0. The conference win was a huge milestone, marking Coach Banon’s 100th win at Pequannock High School. Junior Maddy DeFillippo led the team with the most goals tallying 12, as well as assists tallying 7. Junior Grace Visscher had an amazing game against St. Elizabeth. scoring the final point during sudden death, winning the game 2-1. The girls continued and ended up qualifying for states, ranking 10th. They won their first round of states against Mountain Lakes with a score of 3-2, goals scored by Maddy DeFillippo. Coach Banon and the girls closed their season with a record of 10-9.
