PEQUANNOCK, NEW JERSEY - Since March 10, the girls lacrosse team has been working hard every day in preparation for the 2025 season.

Colleen Grady took over the head coach position three years ago and pushes the Lady Panthers to be the best versions of themselves. She has high expectations this season, especially. Grady stated, “This season I am looking forward to watching the team continue to grow and develop.”

Preparation is an important part of the game. Grady sets clear standards for the girls to follow in order to boost productivity at practices, at home, and in school. When speaking on the topic of preparation, Grady said, “We do a lot of stickwork and game planning in the pre-season to build skills and chemistry. All of this helps the team improve daily and build up confidence to apply these skills on the field.”

Practices range from 3:15 to 5-5:30 after school from Monday to Friday. Saturday practices are around 8-10 every weekend. Sunday is the one-off day so the team can prepare and rest before the next week.

Alongside Grady is the Varsity Assistant Coach Richard Dygos. The JV Coach, Susan Blanchard, works with her girls in order to prepare them for the Varsity level.

The team has had two scrimmages so far against Wayne Hills and Wayne Valley; they won both of them. The captains this year are Ruby Smith, Grace Visscher, and Summer Ciresi, all seniors who constantly express their enthusiasm to be leaders on the team.

The first official game of the season was April 1st at 4:00 pm away against Jefferson Township High School.
