PTHS Girls Soccer Recap

The girls soccer team began their season September 9th with an opening game against Boonton defeating them 10-0. As the season progressed the girls managed to win many games and qualified for the Morris County Tournament where they lost to Morristown 1-0. Despite their loss in the Morris County Tournament the girls were able to become conference champions with an undefeated record of 12-0. The girls also qualified for states ranking 1st and winning the section. Unfortunately they lost to Mountain Lakes in the semifinal round of the overall group states. Senior Shayla Osmanski had the most assists and broke the school's record tallying 23. Senior Alex Ortega led the team with the most goals and broke the record tallying 23. She also had the most points overall with a count of 58. The final record for Coach McBurney and the girls was 20-2.
